Are you an outdoorsy type interested in local nature and wildlife? Well, there is plenty to do and see in the area. Brownsville Preserve is just east of the adjacent community of Nassawadox. The preserve offers three-mile hole through many of the assorted habitats sheltered on the preserve, counting forested uplands, ponds, far-reaching salt marsh vistas, etc. and there is an interpretive guide to the trail at the office. In addition, they offer an audio companion to the trail which can be downloaded on the web.
